THE ROLLING STONES: Complete 1960s Box Set in Mono

The Rolling Stones hanno annunciato l’uscita di un box set che comprenderà le versioni mono dei loro primi album. All’interno di The Rolling Stones in Mono si troveranno tutti i loro album usciti negli anni ’60, dal debutto The Rolling Stones del 1964 fino a Let It Bleed del 1969, più un nuovo album con B-sides, singoli e rarità intitolato Stray Cats. In totale il cofanetto conterrà 186 canzoni, 56 delle quali non erano mai state disponibili prima d’ora nella versione mono. Il box set è già disponibile per il pre-order nella doppia versione 15 CD o 16 LP e verrà messo in commercio dall’etichetta ABKCO il 30 settembre. Gli album saranno messi in commercio anche separatamente nel corso del 2017. I nuovi album mono sono stati masterizzati negli studi di Abbey Road dall’ingegnere del suono Bob Ludwig, che ha vinto diversi Grammy Awards per le sue ristampe di Derek and the Dominos e Dire Straits. All’interno del box set ci sarà anche un libro di 48 pagine con molte foto rare ed inedite scattate da Terry O’Neill, e le note scritte dal giornalista David Fricke, firma storica di Rolling Stone.
